CustomHosted
Hosting, run like a utility.
What problem does it solve?
Cloud consoles are complex and per-request billing is unpredictable, and small teams don't want to babysit infra or get locked in.
Who is it for?
Teams and businesses, especially CustomLabs clients, who want reliable, hands-off hosting for static sites, APIs, databases, and full apps.
Why did we build it?
Every client build eventually needs somewhere to run. We kept watching teams choose between babysitting a complex cloud console themselves, or accepting per-request billing they couldn't predict. Neither is what a small team actually wants.
CustomHosted is the hosting layer we built for our own client deployments, and now other teams' deployments too. It gives fixed monthly pricing and infrastructure that's fully exportable. A human answers support, not a ticket bot.
How does it work?
- Fixed monthly pricing over per-request billing
Dedicated instances are priced monthly rather than metered per-request, so a traffic spike doesn't turn into a surprise invoice.
- Infrastructure as code, fully exportable
Every environment is defined as code from the start. A client can take that exact infrastructure definition and run it anywhere else. There's no lock-in disguised as convenience.
- Automated TLS, DNS, and nightly backups
The operational basics that cause the most 3am pages are automated by default rather than left as a manual runbook step.
- Human support, no ticket bots
Support is a person who knows the infrastructure, not a bot triaging tickets before a human ever sees them.
What's the hard part?
Making "fully exportable, no lock-in" actually true is harder than it sounds. Every convenience feature is a candidate for quietly creating a dependency on us. The infrastructure-as-code has to be the real source of truth, not a diagram of what's configured by hand. Otherwise the export promise is fiction.
What does it do?
- Static sites on a global CDN
- Dedicated instances at fixed monthly pricing
- Automated TLS, DNS, and nightly backups
- Infrastructure as code, fully exportable, with no lock-in
- Human support and monitoring, no ticket bots
What does this prove we can do for you?
No-lock-in infrastructure-as-code and predictable operational ownership is exactly the standard we hold client handovers to. CustomHosted applies that same standard to hosting itself.
Where this shows up in client work
Questions, answered.#
The questions we get asked most, answered plainly: no hedging, no marketing copy.
01 What can I host on CustomHosted?
Static sites on a global CDN, or dedicated instances for APIs, databases, and full applications at fixed monthly pricing.

No. Every environment is defined as infrastructure-as-code you can export and run elsewhere. That's the point of building it this way.

A person who knows the infrastructure, not a ticket bot. That's the same standard we hold ourselves to on client engagements.

This is the same discipline, real architecture decisions and an honest account of the hard part, that we bring to client engagements.
