High-Risk AI System
A high-risk AI system is one classified as carrying enough decision impact to trigger heavier compliance.
That impact means affecting access to employment, credit, education, or another regulated outcome.
The heavier package includes conformity assessment, technical documentation, and a specific human-oversight design.
Classification depends on what a wrong decision costs, not on which model or how large it is.
The same small model can sit in a high-risk system in one deployment and a low-stakes one in another.
